A big storm hit Spain this weekend. It brought very heavy rain to the Mediterranean Sea area.

Spain's emergency services said the storm dropped 600 litres of rain on every square metre. This happened in just one hour.

This is three times more rain than the old record. The old record was in a town called Turís on October 29.

The storm hit the Valencia region very hard. It caused floods in many places.

There were almost 100 incidents. Fifteen regions in Spain got a storm warning on Saturday.

Spain's weather agency, Aemet, gave red warnings for Tarragona and Castellón. A red warning means very big danger.

Later, Aemet removed these red warnings. This happened after the rain passed its highest point.

People in Spain are following the news about the storm. Many areas are still cleaning up after the heavy rain.
