Separately, budget carrier Jetstar canceled 37 flights connected to Narita Airport, another major gateway serving the capital region. In a related development, the Japan Weather Association has issued its seasonal outlook for summer temperatures this year. The association predicts that the most intense heat will be concentrated primarily in western Japan, occurring during two distinct periods: from late July into early August, and again in late August. This projection suggests that western regions may face a greater risk of heat-related concerns compared to other parts of the country, even as eastern areas contend with the immediate impact of Typhoon No. 25.
