Spanish Polls: Left Could Lose Seats in Most Provinces
Listen to the story
New polls show bad news for Spain's left-wing parties. The polls look at a future general election. They say the left could lose seats in 29 provinces. A seat is a place in parliament. A province is a part of Spain, like a region.
The polls say right-wing parties could win in 80% of the country. This means right-wing parties may do better than left-wing parties in most places.
The polls come from two groups called CIS and GAD3. They ask many people about parties like PSOE, PP, VOX, and Frente Amplio. These are Spanish political parties.
The polls say the left is divided. This division may help the right. Some experts say a left-wing group called Sumar could lose 22 seats. PP and Vox together could win up to 15 more seats.
