Japan's Nikkei Falls Nearly 2,000 Points as Chip Stocks Drop

Japan's main stock market fell a lot today. The Nikkei average dropped almost 2,000 points. This was the fourth day in a row that it went down.

The Nikkei average shows the price of many big Japanese companies. When it falls, it means many stock prices went down together.

Chip companies had a bad day. Chips are small parts used in computers and phones. Many companies that make AI chips saw their stock prices fall.

This happened because chip companies in the United States also fell. When US chip stocks go down, Japanese chip stocks often go down too.

There is also worry about the Middle East. People are nervous about problems there. This makes investors feel less safe about buying stocks.

Investors are people who buy stocks to make money. When they feel worried, they often sell stocks instead of buying them.

Many people are now asking: what will move the market next? They call this the next big 'momentum' mover. Momentum means the power that pushes prices up or down.

Experts will watch the market closely tomorrow. They want to see if prices keep falling or start to go up again.
