Delhi Enforces GRAP-2 Rules to Fight Winter Pollution

Delhi-NCR started new pollution rules on 2 November 2026. These rules are called GRAP-2. GRAP means a plan to fight bad air.
Under GRAP-2, parking will cost more money. Government offices will also change their work timings. This is to help clean the air.
On the first day, the city gave big fines to vehicles. The total fine was ₹68.4 lakh. This is a lot of money.
More than 1,500 vehicles were sent back from the city border. These vehicles did not follow the new pollution rules.
The city is doing this because of bad air in winter. Delhi often has very dirty air at this time of year.
This plan is part of a bigger Winter Action Plan. The government made this plan to protect people's health.
