Aemet, Spain's national meteorological agency, has issued a warning for 48 hours of intense rainfall in the province of Granada, with particular impact expected in the provincial capital.

According to the warning, Granada city will be significantly affected by the incoming storms over the coming days.

The alert follows a turbulent week of weather in the region, during which a hailstorm struck the A-92 highway, creating hazardous driving conditions for motorists.
