Rennes to Host Auxerre in Ligue 1 Clash

Rennes will welcome Auxerre to their home ground for a Ligue 1 fixture on 11 October 2026.

The match forms part of the ongoing 2026-2027 Ligue 1 season, France's top football division.

Rennes, playing in front of their own supporters, are determined to secure all three points from the fixture.

The game will be broadcast with live commentary, allowing fans to follow the action as it develops.

Ahead of the match, Rennes coach Franck Haise has confirmed changes to his available squad.

Haise has chosen not to convoque two players, Quentin Merlin and Arnaud Nordin, for the fixture against Auxerre.

As a result, neither Merlin nor Nordin will feature in the matchday squad.

No further details about the reasons behind these decisions were included in the available report.

The absence of two squad members could influence how Haise sets up his team for the match.

Rennes will be looking to assert themselves as hosts and take a positive result against their opponents.

Auxerre, for their part, will aim to disrupt Rennes' plans and leave with points of their own.

The outcome of the match will have implications for both clubs' positions in the Ligue 1 standings.

As the season progresses, such results become increasingly significant for clubs aiming to finish strongly.

Supporters and neutral observers alike will be watching closely to see how team selections affect performance on the pitch.
