Coal India Releases Management Trainee Answer Key 2026

Coal India has released the answer key and response sheet for its Management Trainee (MT) recruitment exam 2026, allowing candidates to review their performance ahead of the final results.

The recruitment drive was for 660 Management Trainee posts and drew a large pool of around 1.29 lakh candidates, reflecting strong demand for stable jobs at the state-run coal company.

The answer key, which lists the correct responses to each question in the exam, has been made available as a downloadable PDF on Coal India's official recruitment portal. Candidates can access it using their registered login credentials.

Alongside the answer key, the response sheet has also been published. This document records the specific answers each candidate marked during the exam, enabling them to cross-check their choices against the official key.

Coal India has additionally activated a link through which candidates can raise objections if they believe any answer in the provisional key is incorrect. Such provisional keys are typically open to challenge for a limited window before being finalised.

Once the objection period ends, a panel will reportedly review all submitted challenges. Based on this review, Coal India will issue a final answer key, which will then be used to determine candidates' scores and, subsequently, the exam results.

This objection process is a common feature of large-scale recruitment exams in India, designed to give candidates an opportunity to flag potential errors before scores are locked in. It adds a layer of transparency to what is often a highly competitive selection process, particularly for a limited number of posts against a very large applicant base.
