Among the notable contributions, the Grendene family, owners of the internationally recognised footwear company, donated R$1 million to Ciro Gomes, who is running for governor of Ceará. Farah's report highlights this donation as particularly significant because it represents a shift in the family's political allegiance, as they had previously backed a different candidate in the state.

Meanwhile, the owners of Aço Cearense, a steel manufacturing company, contributed an equal amount—R$1 million—to Elmano Freire, the sitting governor of Ceará, who is seeking re-election. The two donations effectively place major business families on opposing sides of the same gubernatorial race.

Farah identified the Grendene family as the largest single donor in the 2026 election cycle so far, underscoring the scale of their financial involvement compared with other contributors.
