Barcelona Make Major Changes for Alaves Match
Listen to the story
Barcelona is preparing to make significant changes to its starting lineup ahead of the club's Spanish league match against Deportivo Alaves, following two consecutive defeats.
The coaching staff is reportedly set to introduce several new faces into the starting XI in an effort to reverse the team's recent poor form.
The decision comes as Barcelona looks to respond quickly after back-to-back losses, which have raised questions among fans and analysts about the squad's current performance.
Among the main talking points ahead of the match is whether defender Jules Kounde will be included in the starting team against Alaves.
As of now, the club has not officially confirmed the lineup, leaving fans and media to speculate about the coach's final decisions.
Barcelona will be eager to secure a positive result against Alaves in order to stabilise its position in the league table and restore confidence within the squad.
Deportivo Alaves, also competing in Spain's top division, will provide what is seen as an important test of Barcelona's ability to bounce back from adversity.
Reports suggest that the scale of the expected changes could be described as a complete overhaul, or what some have called a revolution, in the team's approach for this fixture.
Such wide-ranging changes are relatively uncommon for a club of Barcelona's stature, and they highlight the pressure the coaching staff may be feeling after the recent dip in form.
The match will be closely followed by supporters both in Spain and internationally, given Barcelona's status as one of the league's most prominent clubs.
Observers will also be watching to see whether the new lineup can deliver the kind of performance needed to end the losing streak and regain momentum in the competition.
The outcome of this match could have an important impact on the team's confidence and direction as the season progresses.
