The Vietnam women's volleyball team has finished in 7th place at the 20th Asian Games. This was their final ranking after the whole tournament ended.
The Asian Games is a major sports event held every four years. Teams from many Asian countries take part in different sports, including volleyball.
During the tournament, the final of the women's volleyball competition was decided. Two strong teams reached this last match to fight for the top prize.
Before the final, Thailand faced China in the semi-final match. Thailand suffered a painful defeat against the Chinese team, ending their hopes of reaching the final.
Because of this loss, Thailand could not continue toward the gold medal. China, however, moved forward to compete in the final match.
The result of the final match determined the champion of the women's volleyball tournament at this year's Asian Games. Vietnam's team, meanwhile, completed the tournament in 7th place overall, showing their performance among the many teams that competed at this large sporting event.
