Interstellar to Air on French TV Channel Arte
Listen to the story
The popular science-fiction film Interstellar will be shown on the French channel Arte this Sunday.
Viewers should note that no online replay will be available after the broadcast.
This has led many fans to ask when the film will next appear on television.
Interstellar follows a group of astronauts on a space mission to find a new home for humanity.
The film is well known for its ideas about time travel and how time can move differently near black holes.
Since its release, Interstellar has become a cult classic among science-fiction lovers.
Many viewers are curious whether the science shown in the movie is actually possible.
The film was inspired by real theoretical physics, including ideas from scientist Kip Thorne.
Thorne helped make sure the film's depiction of space and time stayed close to scientific theory.
Because of this, Interstellar is often discussed not just as entertainment but as a topic for scientific debate.
The upcoming Arte broadcast has renewed interest in these discussions.
Fans online are sharing questions about whether humans could really travel through a wormhole, as shown in the film.
A wormhole is a theoretical shortcut through space, allowing fast travel between distant points.
While wormholes remain unproven, the concept continues to interest both scientists and film fans.
The broadcast on Arte gives viewers another chance to enjoy the film and think about these big questions.
