Listen to the story

Two big storms are moving over the Pacific Ocean. One storm is called Hurricane Polo. The other storm is called Hurricane Nolo.

Hurricane Polo is a major storm. It is moving toward Mexico. It is going to a place called Baja California. This is a long piece of land in Mexico.

People in Baja California must be careful. Polo can bring a storm surge. This means the sea can rise very high near the coast.

Polo can also bring strong winds. It can bring lots of rain too. This can cause floods in some places.

The other storm, Nolo, is near Hawaii. On Sunday, Nolo moved away from the Hawaiian Islands. This is good news for people there.

Hawaii is a group of islands in the Pacific Ocean. People there were worried about the storm. Now they are safer because Nolo is moving away.

Weather workers are watching both storms. They want to know where the storms will go next.
