Brazil has a top court called the STF. It is like a supreme court. The STF looks at big legal cases.
Jair Bolsonaro is a former president of Brazil. A court found him guilty in a case about a coup plan. A coup is when people try to take power by force, not by voting.
Bolsonaro's lawyers asked for a criminal review. This means checking a case again after a final decision. They want the court to cancel his conviction.
Judge Nunes Marques is handling this request. Other judges at the STF told him the case is important. They said all judges should decide together. This is called going to the plenary.
The PGR is Brazil's top public prosecutor's office. It already gave its opinion about canceling the coup conviction.
Another judge, Kassio, said the review will wait. He said it will only be studied after the second round of elections.
