Snow Expected in Lowlands as France's Mountain Law Begins

Weather experts say it may snow in France soon. This is early for snow. Up to 10 cm of snow could fall. This can happen even in low, flat areas. These areas are called the plains. The snow may come at the start of November 2026.
This kind of early snow has happened before in France. It is not completely new for this time of year.
At the same time, a new law starts in France. It is called the Mountain Law. This law is about driving in winter. It says what drivers must have in their cars. The law starts on 1 November.
Drivers must change some things on their cars. This helps them drive safely in snow and ice. The law is mostly for cars that drive near mountains. But many drivers across France must follow it too.
