Listen to the story

The City of Paris says it has helped 250 people. Most of them are migrants. They were living outside the Paris Centre town hall. The people were sleeping there in a camp. Now the city has moved them to a shelter.

A city leader named Emmanuel Grégoire said this. He talked about the "mise à l'abri." This means "putting people in shelter." He said 253 people got help.

Before this, many migrants lived on the street in Paris. Life was very hard for them. Some people used a mobile clinic. This is a small doctor's office that can move to different places. Doctors there talked to migrants about their health. Many migrants felt very tired and sad.

The city wanted to help people leave the street. A shelter is a safe, warm place to sleep. It is better than sleeping outside. This story shows one part of a bigger problem. Many cities in Europe have migrants without homes.
