Israel will hold an election in 2026. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to win again.

A small far-right party called People of Israel is also in the race. Another group called Charedi Public wants to run too.

In Israel, a party needs enough votes to win seats. This is called the electoral threshold. If a party does not get enough votes, it gets no seats.

Both big political groups, or blocs, think Netanyahu wants to push this small far-right party below the threshold. This means the party would lose.

The party leaders say they will stay in the race. They do not want to quit, even with pressure from Netanyahu and his friends.

Bezalel Smotrich is another far-right leader. He asked a politician named Winter to leave the race. He offered Winter a job as a minister instead.

This shows there is tension between far-right groups before the election.
