Nearly 3 Million Teslas Recalled in China Over Door Handles
Listen to the story
Tesla is recalling almost three million cars in China. The problem is with the door handles. These handles are hidden inside the car door. This makes cars look nice. But some people say the handles can be a problem.
Other car companies also have this problem. XPeng, Xiaomi, and Geely are Chinese car companies. Their cars also have hidden door handles. These companies must also recall some cars.
A recall means the company must check or fix the cars. Companies do this when a car part is not safe. The car owners do not pay for this fix.
Tesla is a big company from the United States. It makes electric cars. Tesla sells many cars in China. China is a very big market for cars.
This recall shows that car companies must check new designs carefully. Hidden door handles look modern. But they must also be safe and easy to use.
