Isabel Díaz Ayuso is the leader of the Madrid region. She has sent a message to the Spanish government. She wants the government to clear people from a famous square. The square is called Puerta del Sol. Ayuso gave the government 48 hours to do this.

Ayuso said, "The impunity and the disorder cannot continue." She thinks the government must act fast. The message came from the Madrid regional office. It went to the national government's office in Madrid.

Many people are protesting in Madrid right now. They are angry about the housing crisis in Spain. Homes and rent are very expensive for many people. The protests started after an old woman named Maricarmen was evicted from her home. Many people did not like this. So they came to the streets to protest.
