Lawmakers Ask Prosecutors to Seize Flávio Bolsonaro's Passport
Listen to the story
Some deputies in Brazil want to stop Flávio Bolsonaro from leaving the country. Flávio is a senator. He is the son of former president Jair Bolsonaro.
The deputies asked the PGR to take his passport. The PGR is a top legal office in Brazil. A passport lets a person travel to other countries.
The deputies made this request after a defeat for Flávio in court. A defeat means he lost a case or decision.
This is part of an investigation called Dark Horse. An investigation means police or officials are checking something carefully.
The deputies do not want Flávio to leave Brazil while the investigation is happening. They think he might try to escape before it finishes.
The case is still going on. No final decision has been made yet about the passport.
