Japan Series 2026: SoftBank Comes Back to Tie the Series

The SMBC Japan Series 2026 is a big baseball event in Japan. Two top teams play against each other.
In Game 3, SoftBank almost lost. They were down to their last chance. But the team tied the game. They did not lose.
A player named Ihine ran for another player. This is called a pinch runner. The coach put Ihine in instead of a player named Ogata. This smart move helped SoftBank tie the game.
After Game 4, former pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka talked about the game on TV. He was a commentator for the show Hosute.
SoftBank won Game 4 with a comeback. This means they were losing but won in the end. Matsuzaka said the team was very strong. He said, 'They are really tough. Their relief pitchers are steady.'
Relief pitchers are pitchers who come into the game after the first pitcher. SoftBank's relief pitchers played very well.
