Hawks Lose Home Opener to Rockets but Show Fighting Spirit
Listen to the story
The Atlanta Hawks played their first home game of the season on October 24, 2026. They lost to the Houston Rockets. The final score was 121-114.
Sports writer Michael Cunningham wrote about the game. He said the Hawks had the same old problems. Their interior defense was weak again. This means they could not stop the other team near the basket.
But Cunningham also said the Hawks showed good fight. This means the players tried very hard. They did not give up, even when they were losing.
