Listen to the story

There are big wildfires in France. The fires are near a town called Le Porge. Le Porge is in the Gironde region.

France is also having a heatwave. This means the weather is very hot.

Sébastien Lecornu is the Prime Minister of France. He visited Le Porge to see the damage from the fires.

But people in the town were angry. When he arrived, they booed him. Some people shouted "Shameful!" and "Pathetic!"

The town of Le Porge is devastated by the fires. Many people lost their homes or land.

French authorities also gave a weather warning. It is called an orange alert. This means the weather can be dangerous.

Six areas in France, called departments, still have this warning. The warning will end on Tuesday morning.
