Listen to the story

A man in France was once a fighter for Daesh. Daesh is another name for the Islamic State group. This group fought wars in the Middle East.

Now the man wants to leave France. He wants to go and live in Algeria. But he has a big problem.

Algeria does not want him. The country will not let him come back and live there.

The man says he never felt French. He says he will never feel French. He wants to be in Algeria, his family's country.

But because Algeria says no, he is stuck in France. He cannot leave. He cannot get a new life in Algeria.

This story shows a hard problem. Some countries do not want people who fought for terrorist groups. This makes it hard for these people to find a new home.
