Listen to the story

Brazil has a Senate. The Senate makes laws for the country.

Brazil also has a Supreme Court. People call it the STF. The STF judges are called ministros in Brazil.

Some senators want to remove some STF judges from their jobs. This is called impeachment.

After a recent election, more senators support this idea. Now 49 senators want impeachment.

But they need more senators to agree. They need a group called two-thirds of the Senate.

Two-thirds of the Senate is a bigger number than 49. So the group is still 5 senators short.

The new senators will start their jobs in 2027.

Many people are watching this story. It shows a fight between two parts of government.
