Brazil's Congress has made a new law. The law ends the 6x1 work schedule. In this schedule, people work six days and rest one day. Now, the country wants a 5x2 schedule. This means five days of work and two days of rest.
The law is now official. This is called to promulgate a law. After promulgation, time starts to count. Companies have 60 days to start the change.
This change is called a transition. A transition means moving from one thing to another thing. It will not happen all at once. There is a special calculator online. People can use it to see their new work hours.
Many workers in Brazil wanted this change. They said the 6x1 schedule was too hard. Now they will have more rest days each week.
