Banks in India will not go on strike now. Unions planned a three-day strike. It was going to start on Monday.
The strike was going to stop many bank services. People could not take out cash easily. People could not put money in easily. Cheque payments could also stop working well.
Bank unions want changes. They want a five-day work week for staff. They also want banks to open seven days for customers.
The banks' association met the unions. They talked about the problems. After the meeting, the unions agreed to stop the strike. The strike is deferred, not finished.
This means the strike may happen later. For now, banks will work as normal. Customers can use bank services this week.
