The Cannes Film Festival has new dress code rules

Recently, many stars wear clothes so that they look naked. Their dresses are thin. You can see-through them. Stars wear these dresses so people look at them and talk about them.

Now, the Cannes Film Festival says “no naked people on the red carpet.” They want the stars to wear clothes that do not shock people.

Last year, some stars wore dresses so you can see a lot of their body and skin. For example, Bella Hadid and Vicky Krieps wore dresses that were see-through. Maybe they can’t wear those same dresses this year.

The new rule does not say what “naked” means. Some people are not sure. For example, is a dress with a picture of a naked person okay?

Also, very big dresses with long parts on the floor are not allowed

Sometimes, these clothes get a lot of attention, but the movies and the festival don’t get attention. For example, Bianca Censori wore a see-through dress with no underwear to the Grammys this year. Many people talked about that more than the Grammys.
