The movie “Avatar: The Way of Water” earned one-hundred thirty-four million dollars at the US box office in its first weekend. This is the first time a movie directed by James Cameron has had a one-hundred million dollar opening weekend.

Many people have been looking forward to the movie, but it earned less money than predicted. The “Avatar” sequel’s success will depend on its long-term appeal. Many of Cameron’s movies remain popular for a long time.

So far, the film has made a total of four-hundred thirty-five million dollars at the global box office.

Cameron hasn’t said how much the “Avatar” sequel cost to make, but he has said it was “very effing expensive.” He also said that for the movie to break even, it will have to be the third or fourth highest-grossing film in history. That means it needs to make over $2 billion.

The original “Avatar”, which earned almost $3 billion, is the highest-grossing movie of all time. Only one film during the COVID-19 pandemic, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” has come close to that amount, which earned almost $1.9 billion.

Some people are confident that the movie will perform well in cinemas over the next few weeks, especially during the busy holiday period.

3D technology has been an important factor for “Avatar: The Way of Water’s” early success at the box office. Many people are not sure if they like 3D movies, but the 3D in “Avatar: The Way of Water” is an important part of the film.

Disney is planning to make four more “Avatar” movies, with the next one coming out in 2024.
