A museum about NBA star LeBron James will open in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, this month.
The LeBron James Museum called Home Court will show the basketball player’s life and career. You can learn about where he grew up in Akron, his basketball career in the NBA and Olympics, his business, philanthropy and more.
The museum tour starts in a room that looks like the apartment he grew up in. After that, you will learn about him entering the NBA in 2003 as well as his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers. There is also information about his gold medals from the Olympics.
LeBron says he is very happy to share his journey and hometown with fans from all over the world.
The museum opens on November 25. It was started by James’ foundation called the LeBron James Family Foundation. All money from ticket sales will be used to help the local community.
James is now 38 years old and playing in his 21st NBA season. In February, he became the NBA player with the most points ever.
