A team from England and Egypt found a pharaoh’s tomb. The pharaoh’s name was Thutmose II.
This is the first pharaoh’s tomb found in a long time. The last one was King Tut’s tomb in 1922.
King Thutmose II is also King Tut’s family.
The tomb is near the city of Luxor, in a place called the Western Valleys.
The ceiling inside the tomb has blue and yellow stars. Only tombs for kings have this ceiling.
The room was filled with rocks and dirt. It took a long time to clean.
The team found broken jars. The names of Thutmose II and his wife, Hatshepsut, are on the jars. The team didn’t find treasure in the tomb.
The team thinks that there is another tomb for Thutmose II. They think they know where it is, and they hope it has treasure inside.
The team worked for many years to find this tomb.
