Lots of people in America are drinking less alcohol. They are trying drinks that resemble alcohol but have no alcohol in them.

A group called NC Solutions did a survey. They learned that 41% of people want to drink less alcohol in 2024. 

About 58% of Americans drink less alcohol to be healthier, lose weight, and save money.

Beer and wine without alcohol are more popular now. People also like mocktails.

Jordan Bass and Nick Taranto started the company Hop Wtr in 2020. They wanted to make a non-alcoholic drink that didn’t have a lot of sugar or calories.

Bass said their customers are usually between 24 and 45 years old. They want to stay healthy and have good mental health.

Bass also said that 80% of people who buy Hop Wtr also drink alcohol. The customers drink alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks.

Half of the people who buy Hop Wtr are men and half are women. 

Some women who had a baby in the last year drank non-alcoholic wine or beer when they were pregnant.

  • Mental health – the health or status of our emotions,thoughts, and feelings; the health or condition of our mind
  • Pregnant – when a woman has a baby growing inside of her
